27 November 2021
Freo’s best chefs to cook for charity
More than 650 people will fill the cultural heart of Freo for the sixth annual Long Table Dinner event, a spectacular three-course feast under the stars raising funds for vulnerable people.
The Long Table Dinner is locked in for Saturday, November 27 and it will be held in the newly named Walyalup Koort (Kings Square).
This premier fundraising event will again be led by The National Hotel to raise funds for St Patrick’s Community Support Centre (St Pat’s), which supports people that are experiencing homelessness, at risk of homelessness, or, in need.
We are pleased to announce Peter Manifis, Caroline Taylor, Vincent Lim, Amanda Yong, Rohan Park and Simon Reid are volunteering their time and expertise to prepare a gourmet three-course meal made from local ingredients donated by Pezzano.
Boutique beers and the best of WA wines supplied from major sponsors including, Little Creatures, will accompany the meal.
Walyalup Koort provides a perfect backdrop, for another great line-up of artists including CircusWA and party band Oats Supply.
The National Hotel owner Karl Bullers said: “This sixth annual dinner will continue what has become a mainstay on Perth’s and Fremantle’s social calendar. It’s an event where local businesses come together to support this much-loved event.’’
“Our goal is to raise another $100,000 for St Pat’s reaching a combined total nearly half a million dollars since the event first started in 2016,” he said.
St Pat’s CEO Michael Piu said every year he is overwhelmed by the generosity of the community and businesses in supporting the event.
‘’I think with the challenges of COVID and a particularly extreme winter, come November, people can enjoy a great night and know that money raised will be making a real difference,’’ he said.
Mr Piu thanked the sponsors, including major partners Patrick Terminals and Little Creatures, and supporters who have already come on board for 2021 but added there was still time for people to get involved with the event.
Tickets become available on September 1.

St Patrick’s Community Support Centre has been supporting those experiencing, and at risk of, homelessness in and around Fremantle for almost 50 years.
Thousands of lives have been changed, but that wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the local community. By donating their time, money and energy, the people of Fremantle have always been there to support and carry on the mission of St Pat’s since the very beginning.
In 2016, with the support of The National Hotel, a new way of raising vital funds for St Patrick’s was created – Fremantle’s first Long Table Dinner.
In the years since the event has continued to grow, now stretching the length of High Street, with festivities continuing down many side streets as the entire town gathers to celebrate the festive season, all for a good cause.
The event is largely run by a team of volunteers, and thanks to the generous support of many local businesses who spare their time, money, resources and expertise to create a celebration to remember each and every year.
