Talented chefs team up for homelessness

The National Hotel is teaming up with The Ritz-Carlton, Perth and Empyrean Education Institute for the Fremantle Long Table Dinner 2023, a very special fundraiser in support of people experiencing homelessness.

Now in its eighth year, the 650 guests will dine on the finest in fresh, local produce prepared by top Perth chefs, including The Ritz-Carlton, Perth’s Executive Chef Alberto Cuzzit, supported by a brigade of talented young chefs from major event sponsors Empyrean Education Institute.

Chef Alberto has honed his craft in Michelin-star restaurants such as Dal Vero in Treviso, Gordon Ramsey’s @ Claridge’s in London and the Armani Hotel in Dubai.

The Fremantle Long Table Dinner is locked in for November 25th and it will be held in Walyalup Koort (Kings Square). Walyalup Koort provides a perfect backdrop, for another great line-up of artists including local rockers Oats Supply, Circus WA, Junkadelic and special guests Rocks & Rhubarb, who just took out John Curtin’s College of the Arts Battle of the Bands 2023.

Along with a three-course meal, ticketholders will enjoy premium WA wines, cocktails and beers from Leeuwin Estate, Greenskin Wine, Little Creatures Brewery, Aperol, Brown Forman Corporation and Republic of Fremantle Distillery.

The event, which is a partnership between The National Hotel and local community housing and homelessness support provider, St Patrick’s Community Support Centre (St Pat’s), raises vital funds to help St Pat’s support people experiencing homelessness, at risk of homelessness, or in need.

Supporting St Pat’s

St Patrick’s Community Support Centre (St Pat’s) has been supporting those experiencing, and at risk of, homelessness in and around Fremantle for 50 years.

Funds raised from the Freo Long Table support St Pat’s work in providing community housing and specialist support services for people facing homelessness.

In 2016, with the support of The National Hotel, a new way of raising vital funds for St Pat’s was created – Fremantle’s first Long Table Dinner. In the years since the event has continued to grow, now with with festivities continuing down many side streets as the entire town gathers to celebrate the festive season, all for a good cause.

The event is largely run by a team of volunteers, and thanks to the generous support of many local businesses who spare their time, money, resources and expertise to create a celebration to remember each and every year.

The easiest way is to book all tickets in the same transaction.

If you’ve already booked your tickets separately, please Contact Us and we’ll do our best to seat you all together. We’ll be taking seating requests until 1st November.

Sorry, all tickets are the same price, regardless of who they’re purchased for.

We’ll be serving a three-course meal with will be include meat and/or fish. Please indicate during the booking process if you require a special meal. The special meal will be vegan, gluten and nut free.

If you did not indicate that you needed a special meal during booking please email fremantlelongtable@gmail.com. We need to be notified of all special meal requests at least 2 days before the event.

All tickets include wine and beer with dinner. There will be non-alcoholic drinks provided.

Absolutely! Don’t forget to bring some cash though to make sure you can enter our fantastic raffle!

Parking around the event is limited, so please consider alternative travel arrangements. Taxis and ride-sharing services are always a good option, or Fremantle train station is only a few minutes’ walk down the road.

Once we’ve locked in where you’ll be sitting a few days before the dinner, we’ll send you an email to let you know where your table is and where the closest entry will be.

With an event the size of the Long Table, it’s not possible to seat everyone exactly where they’d like. Rest assured though, there are no bad seats along the table!

In the event of cancellation due to COVID, the event will be rescheduled with ticket holders given the option of a refund or to wait for the rescheduled date or donate their ticket cost.

If there’s anything that looks like it will impact the ability of the Long Table to go ahead, we’ll be in touch via the email associated with your tickets. The event may be postponed, but if it’s cancelled you’ll receive a full refund.

We aren’t able to refund tickets, unfortunately, but you are more than welcome to sell or give your tickets to someone else.
